After a student is officially admitted to ADU and given a unique student ID number, the scholarship application procedure starts. A university account with a Financial Aid and Scholarships section can be safely accessed with this ID number.
Any scholarships for which the student is qualified will be displayed on their account page because the university has already processed the student’s information, including academic records, upon enrollment. Since the student is eligible for these scholarships based on merit, he or she may decide to complete the online application for any of the scholarships listed below. The student fills out the application by providing the necessary information and uploading any necessary files, after which it is submitted online.

Scholarships for Undergraduates
• Academic award: For continuing students at Abu Dhabi University, this award pays 20% of tuition costs.
• Abu Dhabi University Scholarship: This scholarship offers GCC and UAE residents a 15%–50% tuition cost waiver.
• The fully funded H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Scholarship waives all tuition, application, registration, student services, and health service fees with a 100% waiver.
Athletic award: This award provides continuing students at Abu Dhabi University with a 25% tuition price remission each academic year.
Family Tuition Waiver: Depending on the number of family members enrolled, the family tuition waiver will apply a value of 15, 20, or 25 percent to tuition fees when two or more members of the same family are enrolled at ADU in undergraduate courses.

Scholarships for Undergraduates Qualifications for Eligibility
Academic prize: Continuing students who achieve a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.60 for two consecutive semesters are eligible for this prize.
- The academic scholarship will be awarded for as long as the student is enrolled full-time at ADU (that is, for at least 12 credit hours).
Abu Dhabi University Scholarship: Candidates who meet the requirements and reside in the United Arab Emirates or the Gulf Cooperation Council are eligible to receive this scholarship.
• Depending on their high school GPA, students who enroll at ADU within two years of graduating from secondary school and win a scholarship between 15% to 50% will have their tuition fees waived for each campus.
• Fulfilling the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s standards for English language proficiency
The scholarship will be awarded for as long as the student is enrolled full-time at ADU (that is, for at least 12 credit hours). For students who have not yet fulfilled the requirements for English language competency, the only exception to the 12 credit hours may be granted during the first registered semester and the subsequent term.
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed, H.H. award: Only the top 20 public secondary school graduates in the United Arab Emirates who are accepted and enrolled at ADU during the autumn semester of their high school graduation year are eligible for this award.
• The Office of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed AI Nahyan must select and formally approve the recipient before the scholarship may be awarded.
• The scholarship is valid for the duration of the student’s full-time enrollment at ADU (registered with a minimum of 12 credit hours).
• Fulfilling the English language proficiency standards established by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the United Arab Emirates
• Requirements for the EmSAT or comparable foreign exams: For all colleges, applicants must demonstrate a minimum EmSAT Math score of 1,200, an English score of 1,600, and an Arabic score of 900.
Athletic Scholarship: Students with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.75 who actively participate in ADU sports teams as players, coaches, or captains are eligible to receive this scholarship.
• The Athletics Scholarship will be awarded when the student is enrolled full-time at ADU (that is, enrolled for at least 12 credit hours).
• ADU Student Affairs Department-approved recommendation letter; • Fulfilling the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s standards for English language proficiency
Family Tuition Waiver: Every registered student will receive a 15% tuition waiver (there must be two family members enrolled).
- All registered students will receive a 20% tuition waiver (three family members are included).
- All enrolled students will receive a 25% tuition waiver (if four or more family members are enrolled).
Scholarships for Masters Qualifications for Eligibility
Graduate Scholarships Based on Merit:
- Candidates who have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 3.5 from their undergraduate studies.
- For the Master’s level program, a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 must be maintained.
Alumni Scholarship: Candidates must have graduated from Abu Dhabi University.
- For the Master’s level program, a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0 must be maintained.

A certified copy of an official high school or general secondary certificate, or an equivalent
A white background photo the size of a passport
A copy of a current passport (and, if you live in the UAE, a residency visa)
Certificate of language proficiency: Cambridge (154-161), IESOL/SESOL (B1/B2), Pearson PTE (36-41), Academic IELTS band (5.0), English EmSat (1100), TOEFL IBT (61), or CBT 173 or ITP 500 (ITP taken at AmidEast Institute exclusively) official score record.
A certificate of good behavior from the high school where the student finished Year 13 or Grade 12. It is applicable to everyone who has completed their private school coursework.
