Omarion had a difficult childhood; at the age of ten, he took on the role of caregiver for his grandmother and his uncle, who has autism. Even though his mother had two jobs, he took charge and took care of them till she got home. Among his many responsibilities were food preparation, administering medication, and making sure his uncle had his daily insulin injections to control his diabetes.

Omarion’s grandmother, who passed away, served as inspiration for his lifelong desire of attending New York University in New York, USA.

Omarion set out to enroll in his dream school after his grandmother passed away, and on December 15, 2021, he finally received the news that he had been accepted to New York University. Omarion’s mother said, “As his mother, I remain so proud of him that tears well up in my eyes just thinking about him being accepted into his dream school. All a mother wants is for her child to have the best life possible.”
